As Zeting approached the city, his head was filled with hatred. Why would his former ally Zetang betray him? How would he rise back to power? The first thing that came to his mind was that Zetong must have bribed Zetang. Hunger brought him back to reality as his stomach roared. Starving, the man dashed into the city. He tried to blend in with the people so people wouldn’t throw rocks at him again.
Due to his previous encounter with the humans, every single glance from the people felt like a potential threat. On top of that, His hunger grew with each step, a relentless reminder of his mortal limitations. Zeting sped up his pace as he finally spotted a small restaurant. When he finally reached the place. Instead of pushing the door, he stopped and walked the opposite way. Zeting waited for about three whole minutes until someone finally entered the place. Zeting watched the man's every movement to try and figure out what to do.
With a deep breath, he pushed the door and entered the room. The server, a woman with a warm smile greeted him “Uhh, I will have, three of this, and… two of that please?” muttered Zeting as he pointed awkwardly at the menu (he had never seen bread nor sausages before due to dying when humans were mere cavemen). Everything in this world seemed foreign to him, his head was filled with both awkwardness and pride.
The waiter nodded, she disappeared into the kitchen and soon reappeared with the food he ordered. “What a wonderful place, they out food for free. I must reward the people behind this place once I get my powers back,” thought Zeting as he took a bite out of the bread. When Zeting finished his meal, the sun was fading beyond the horizon.
Zeting walked out without paying because, in his time, the concept of currency and transactions was still not formed yet. People used to barter with each other, and since the restaurant gave him food without asking for anything, he assumed it was a charity.
Stepping back into the busy streets, Zeting wandered without a goal. His original plan was to convince some people to worship him and spread his teachings, then get his powers back and free all three worlds from the wrath of Zetong. But given the result of his encounter with the villagers, his plan is obviously not going to work.
With the hunger issue solved, tiredness washed over Zeting as he walked around the streets. A red sign suddenly caught his attention. "For Sale," it said. "It's empty so who would care if I stayed there," he thought. after all, you don't expect a caveman to get upset at you for living in an empty cave. To Zeting, it had no difference so without a second thought, he pushed the door open and lay down on the ground.
Zeting spent the night making a new plan: first, he would study the current human culture to blend in, second, he would meet leaders of the humans and convince them to advertise his teachings, thir-
"Knock knock"
Zeting tried to ignore the noise, until the door busted open and several policemen stormed the place.
"Please step out of the house" said one of the police officers.
